吴耀汉 曾志伟 冯淬帆 苗侨伟 刘嘉玲 曹达华 陈百祥 郑则 曹警司（曹达华 饰）为了使过气黑帮头子戴哥大（卢海鹏 饰）做警方污点证人，指证黑帮头子巫二器（王青 饰）的罪行，设计逼犀牛皮（冯淬帆 饰）、大生地（吴耀汉 饰）、花塔饼（苗乔伟饰）、罗汉果（曾志伟 饰）等四位有福星之称的私家侦探做卧底，曹又派他的女儿高级帮办Banan a（刘嘉玲 饰），应徵做女佣人暗中保护他们。 四福星入狱救出戴哥大，同往找他的女儿Mina，适值巫二器正欲迷奸她，他们把她救出，戴哥大感激四福星，答应做污点证人指证巫二器的罪恶，但给巫二器想尽一切办法开脱了罪名。 曹警司又安排Banana诈被巫杀死，激发起四福星替她报仇的斗志。片末，四福星和警方一起逮捕了巫二器，把他领导的匪帮全部消灭。
